Uruguay, semifinalist in last worldcup, has struggled so far, but with the win they climbed ahead of Venezuela and is currently in 5th place which means playoff. In Africa the following nations were knocked out: Central African Republic, Kenya, Niger, Botswana, Rwanda, Cape Verde, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Sudan, Gambia, and Lesotho.
